How does a guy get hair like this?

Ive been geling my hair for a while and ive tried a whole bunch of products but none have really given me the style that I want.

You see how the guy in this pictures hair looks well groomed and obedient but it dosent look like its has products in it. Whatever stuff I put in my hair makes it shiny and crunchy and theres always a little frizz sticking out. Ive tried paste and wax but it all just looks the same Do you have to go to a salon and get something done to your hair in order for it to be like this? Or am I doing something wrong

Make sure you have to right hair cut... if your hairstylist can't style it then there is something wrong.. but i would recommend as a product.. try drying it into the style you want first then use product to hold it. a good cut is also needed, im not sure what sort of style it is you want but sometimes you need different finishes to give the hair textures to hold a certain style. dont forget your hair will only fall the way it is growing, there is no point going against the way your hair falls or your style will never hold no mater what product you put on it, find a style to enhance your face, hair type and the way your hair falls

It sounds as though the products you are using are too heavy for your hair. Is your hair thick or fine? If it is fine, you need to use a lighter gel/mousse. Also make sure you are putting the products in your hair when it is dry. This will take away from the crispy wet look. Hope this helps!
