If you've got the time, patience and the ability to deal with a hairstyle like that then get it done, but realise that it won't look like that when you wake up in the morning and its going to need product galore to hold it together.

I think that new hairstyle would look good on you, but the black that you have now with your light skin looks too harsh... maybe tone it down with a dark brownish color?

i think you should get side bangs, with a lot of layers, have the half of the top hair black, and have the bottom half a bright purple...
